0.2 Methodology
In this series of works, I engage with Amazon Mechanical Turk directly as a requester (employer). I commission and instruct workers to complete various unconventional tasks, leveraging the platform’s own mechanisms and devices to disclose the structures and personal stories within it. As the works themselves are the products of the platform, and thus intrinsically tied to its logic of operation, they are inevitably faced with questions concerning labour value, power relationships, and exploitation within information, intelligence, and art production.
